1. BELLEVUE HOSPITAL CENTER
It’s the very next morning at Bellevue Hospital Center. Walter and Gregory are down the hall from Daniel’s hospital room. Victoria is seated outside of the room with her brother Brock. Victoria looks down the hall and shares a glance with Walter. Coming from around the corner enters Paloma and her mother Carla. Gregory signals for them to follow him and Walter into a nearby room. Gregory closes the door after everyone has entered the room.
Walter: Thank you for coming down.
Carla: It’s not as if we had any choice in the matter. I knew this all was a mistake. We should have never gone along with this.
Walter: I understand your angry Mrs. Herrera.
Carla: I’m afraid you don’t. My Paloma was already in enough trouble and now you’ve just added to you. You say you were going to help us but you’ve only made it worse.
Paloma: Mama! This is not the time. We can’t change the situation. All we can do is deal with it. Any news on Mr. Evans?
Gregory: So far nothing concrete. He still hasn’t woken up yet so we can’t really say. He suffered quite a blow to the head there.
Paloma: I was just trying to protect myself. He was coming after me.
Gregory: I believe you. Unfortunately you’re the only other witness right now. It’s your word against his.
Paloma: Yet again. This is not fair!
Walter: I know. We’re going to fix this. I promise you.
Meanwhile out in the hallway outside of Daniel’s room sits Victoria and Brock. She’s explained to him the events of the previous night and all the details of Ivy’s blackmailing.
Victoria: This is all just a mess now.
Brock: I just can’t believe this all went down in the span of like two days. And up to the final minute Daniel didn’t expect anything from you?
Victoria: Not that I know of. I mean I don’t really know what happened in that room between him and that girl. I’m not really sure how much she knows. Ivy promised me that she’d keep my secret as long as I got Daniel there last night.
Brock: And you trust Ivy and Daniel?
Victoria: What choice do I have? But if they did screw me other and that girl said something to Daniel last night then I’m finished. He’ll take everything from me.
James: Victoria?
Victoria hears she named and looks up to see James standing there before her. She immediately panics when seeing him. She looks around the hallways to check out who’s around.
Victoria: James, what are you doing here? You know we can’t be seen together. Especially here.
James: I’m sorry. I wanted to see how you were doing. You haven’t been answering your phone.
Victoria pulls her phone out of her pocket and notices that it’s dead.
Victoria: It’s dead. I haven’t been home.
James: Can we talk?
Brock: Go on. I’ll be here. If I hear any updates I’ll let you know.
Victoria nods to Brock before escorting James out of the building.

2. STARBUCKS
Sarah and Jenny are sitting at a table together having some coffee and chatting.
Jenny: So, are you all excited for rehearsals to start?
Sarah: I am. Though I’m a little nervous.
Jenny: Nervous? No need. You’re ready. You’ve been waiting for this moment forever.
Sarah: I know. I have a voice lesson in an hour. I haven’t gone in for one in ages so it’s bound to be rough.
Jenny: You’ll be fine. So switching subjects a bit, what’s up with that guy Mason?
Sarah: What about him?
Jenny: Well that’s what I wondering. You brought him along that night but I haven’t heard anything else about him since.
Sarah: Well I haven’t really spoken to him since then. We’ve sent texts back and forth a couple of times but that’s about it.
Jenny: That’s it.
Sarah: What?
Jenny: You mean there’s nothing else going on?
Sarah: No. Why? I just met him Jenny!
Jenny: Just seemed to me like there was something there between the two of you.
Sarah: No. Besides, he’s going through some kind of relationship trouble or something. I don’t really want to get involved in anything messy right now. I have too many other things to focus on.
Jenny: Alright, if you say so. But if I were you I’d give him a call. Just saying.

3. NY CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT, PRECINCT #10 230 WEST 20TH STREET
Olivia is walking down the hall from just giving her statement of the previous night. She sees William seated at a bench and walks over to him.
Olivia: William?
William: Olivia. How are you?
Olivia: Alright, I guess. I just finished giving my statement.
William: Yeah I’m after you.
Olivia: Did you just come from the hospital?
William: Yes.
Olivia: How’s Rebecca?
William: She’s alright. She’s going to be okay.
Olivia: Physically I suppose but not mentally.
William: How are you doing?
Olivia: As best as possible under the circumstances. If you hadn’t been there last night I’d be dead.
William: You don’t know that.
Olivia: You weren’t there all that time. Rebecca went insane. She wanted me dead. As far as I’m concerned she can rot in hell for all I care.
William: That is my wife and mother of my child you’re talking about.
Olivia: Nothing to be proud of.
William: I admit she did something terribly wrong.
Olivia: Wrong doesn’t even cover it. I swear if you do anything to come between her paying for her actions-
William: Olivia-
Olivia: I’m just saying. I’m not for forgetting or forgiving today. I want her to pay.

4. BELLEVUE HOSPITAL CENTER
James and Victoria are standing outside of the hospital on the street talking. Victoria has explained Ivy’s blackmail and how it all went down the previous night.
James: I just don’t understand how it all got to this point.
Victoria: Me too. This wasn’t suppose to be how it all happened. Now I don’t know what to think. I just have to sit here and wait for Daniel to wake up. It’s the only way I’ll know what happened and how much he knows.
James: And are you prepared for the possibility that he knows everything? About our affair, about Ivy blackmailing and you going along with it?
Victoria: No. But I’ll just have to pray for the best. It’s the only option I have right now.
James: You know I’m here for you. No matter what. You don’t need Daniel. I know in a sense you think you do but you don’t. I can help you but only if you let me.
Victoria: I know. Look, I better head back in. I’ll call you when I hear something.
James: Alright. Let me know if you need anything. Anything.
Victoria: I will. Thank you.
James starts to go in to give her a kiss on the cheek but she pulls away.
Victoria: I don’t think that’d be wise right now.
He nods and grins at her before walking off. As Victoria heads back into the hospital, out comes Lauren from the side of the building who’s been listening in on the conversation. As she starts to walk into the hospital she hears her name yelled.
Carter: Lauren! Wait up!
Carter runs and catches Lauren before she walks in.
Carter: I got your message. Have you heard anything about Daniel?
Lauren: No, I just got here. I was just about to go in.
Carter: I’ll go in with you.
5. CHELSEA, NEW YORK
Sarah is walking through Chelsea to her voice lesson when she picks up her phone to call Mason. After several rings he answers.
Mason: Hello.
Sarah: Mason? It’s me, Sarah.
Mason: Oh Sarah. How are you?
Sarah: I’m good. I’m just off to a voice lesson and thought I’d call you. I haven’t heard from you.
Mason: I’m sorry. It’s been kind of hectic time right now in my family.
Sarah: Anything wrong?
Mason: It’s kind of complicated. Though anything having to do with my family as of late seems to be complicated.
Sarah: Well I hope everything is alright.
Mason: Me too.
Sarah: Well I don’t know what your schedule is like today but I’m free most of the day if you want to meet up.
Mason: Um, I have no plans as of now. Sure. Call me after your voice and we’ll set something up?
Sarah: Sure. Talk soon.
6. BELLEVUE HOSPITAL CENTER
Brock: Everything alright with you and James?
Victoria: Yes. It’s fine. He’s just worried. But right now I can’t risk being seen with him. Especially not here.
Brock: What are you going to do Victoria? I’m worried about you. This is all just getting way too out of control. And for what? For some money?
Victoria: I want what’s mine. I gave up my life so Daniel could succeed. I am not willing to risk being shut out of what I’ve earned. If Daniel found out that I was having an affair he’d make sure that I ended up with nothing. That’s not going to happen.
Brock: I just don’t think this is worth it. If you truly think you’re in love with James then just be with him and let it all go. Or is there something else?
Victoria: What are you talking about?
Brock: Why can’t you just let it all go?
Victoria: I just don’t want to get in a relationship with another man and have my own life depend on him. I’ve done that and I hated it. I hate being Daniel Evans wife instead of being just Victoria. I don’t like depending on his successes to bring in the money. I don’t to depend on James. I feel like that’s part of what destroyed my marriage with Daniel. I think it’s partly why we resent each other all the time. If James and I have any shot together then we have to both be on equal playing fields from the start.
Carter and Lauren come from the hall and walk up to Victoria.
Victoria: Carter. Lauren.
Carter: How are you holding up?
Victoria: I’m doing well. I’m glad you’re here.
Lauren: We’ve been able to fend off the press so far. The police have been working with us. But sooner or later everyone is going to wonder where Daniel is. Unfortunately we can’t depend on the staff of this hospital to keep their mouths shut for much longer. Someone will eventually leak it.
Victoria: I know. I just want to avoid this place becoming a madhouse.
Carter: Security can get rid of the press and keep them outside. What we can’t control are the stories that will go to press on this.
Victoria: What can we do?
Lauren: Well we can’t beat this by putting out press release first. But to do that I’m going to need to know what happened.
Victoria: Uh, well I don’t think-
Lauren: Victoria, I mean “what happened”.
It takes a second for Victoria to grasp exactly what Lauren means but she gets it.
Carter: Let’s go sit down, shall we?
Victoria: Of course.
Brock: I’m going to head out. You call me if you need anything.
Victoria and Brock hug. As Brock leaves, Victoria along with Carter and Lauren start walking down the hall. As they reach the elevator, the door opens and out comes Ivy.
Victoria: Ivy.
Ivy: Victoria.
Victoria: Carter and Lauren I’ll meet you at the café.
Carter and Lauren enter the elevator. Victoria waits for the elevator doors to shut to talk.
Victoria: We need to talk.
Ivy: I have to find my husband.
Victoria: That can wait. He’s fine. It’s mine that’s in the hospital right now.
Ivy: I’ve heard. What happened?
Victoria: I’m actually still trying to figure that all out myself. What the hell is going on? This wasn’t suppose to happen.
Ivy: I know. I swear to you that this wasn’t part of the plan. It just went wrong.
Victoria: Who knows?
Ivy: Knows what?
Victoria: You know what I’m talking about. About me! Who knows?! Does that girl?
Ivy: No, of course not. I meant what I said. All you had to do was follow through and your secret would be safe with me. You did your end of the bargain. Daniel doesn’t know a thing. Not from me.
Victoria: What is that suppose to mean?
Ivy: Come on Victoria. Don’t be stupid. You’re a public figure. You can’t be so stupid to think that you can have an affair with someone like Daniel and people not find out. I did. Trust me, people know. All it takes is for the wrong person to find out who wants to use it against you. Don’t wait for that time to come.
Doctor Marshall: Excuse me, Mrs. Evans?
Victoria: Yes.
Doctor Marshall: It’s your husband. He’s awake.
Victoria: Can I see him?
The Doctor nods to Victoria and she immediately starts heading for Daniel’s room. Ivy follows from behind. As Ivy walks down the hall, Walter sees her pass by from his room. He opens the door to call out for her.
Walter: Ivy, what are you doing here?
Ivy: Walter? I was looking for you but I ran into Victoria. It’s Daniel. He’s awake.
Paloma: What?!
Paloma, Carla, and Gregory all come outside in the hallway.
Paloma: Did you just say he’s awake?
Ivy: Yes.
Walter: All of you stay put right here. Come on Gregory.
Walter and Gregory charge down the hall to Daniel’s room. They reach the room just as Victoria reaches. They let her go inside and wait in the doorway. Daniel is propped up in his bed but awake. Victoria sits by his side.
Victoria: The doctor just told me that you were awake. Everyone’s been so worried about you. Lauren and Carter are here. You don’t need to worry about anything. They are taking care of everything for you. How are you feeling?
Daniel: I’m sorry, but do I know you?
Victoria steps back from her very confused. Daniel looks around the room at both her as well as Gregory and Walter standing in the door way.

7. LENOX HILL HOSPITAL
Olivia is walking down the hallway of the fifth floor heading towards Rebecca’s room. She hadn’t seen her since the previous night. After leaving the precinct she felt she needed to see her one last time. As she gets closer to the room she starts feeling little knots in her stomach. Last night is the closet she’s ever been to death. She knows that it could very well be her in that hospital bed. Olivia turns one last corner before Rebecca’s room. As she turns the corner she sees a bunch of people standing outside of what appears to be Rebecca’s room. Something is off. Something doesn’t seem right. She picks up speed a little bit. There are two police officers along with a few hospital staff members at the door.
Olivia: Excuse me, what’s going on?
Police Officer: And who are you?
Olivia: My name is Olivia DeWitt. Is this Rebecca Channing’s room?
Police Officer: Why do you ask?
Olivia: What’s going on here?
Police Officer: I’m going to have to ask you to step aside.
Olivia: Excuse me?
Olivia pushes her way pass the officer and makes her way into the hospital room and it’s empty.
Police Officer: Stop!
Olivia: Where is she?!
