1. THE EVANS APARTMENT
It’s a quarter to six and Victoria has been brainstorming how to get Daniel at his office by seven. Every possible scenario she came up with sounded too suspicious. She’s never really had much contact with Daniel like today. She comes out of the bedroom to the living room where Daniel is seen gathering up some things into his briefcase.
Victoria: Where are you headed?
Daniel: I’m headed off to the office.
Victoria: So soon?
Daniel: What do you mean so soon?
Victoria looks at the clock and sees that it’s nowhere near seven yet. If he were to leave now he could be gone before seven.
Victoria: I thought we could maybe get dinner tonight.
Daniel: Dinner? You and I haven’t had a meal together in ages. Why now?
Victoria: I just thought it would be nice. I had no plans so I thought maybe you’d like to join me.
Daniel: What’s going on here? You’re acting strange.
Victoria: I’m not. Don’t you think it’d be good for people to see us out in public once during this election?
Daniel: I have to drop these files off at the office.
Victoria: We can do it on the way. I already made reservations and the restaurant happens to be on the way anyway. Our reservation is for 7:30. You can stop at the office beforehand.
Daniel looks at Victoria, questioning her motives. His gut tells him that something is up but he lets it slide.
Daniel: Fine. I’ll shower and get dressed.
Daniel sets down his briefcase and heads to the bathroom to shower. Victoria watches him leave up to closing the door behind him and lets out of a sigh of relief. She realizes there’s likely no reason to make that reservation. Though she doesn’t know exactly what’s going on she knows that it’s likely Daniel wouldn’t be able to make that reservation.
2. WALDORF HOTEL
Olivia is seated on the couch watching Rebecca pace back and forth in the hallway. She knew Rebecca was crazy but never would have expected this. Looking to her right she sees the telephone on the nearby desk. She then scans the room for various exits but there isn’t one except for the front door that Rebecca is blocking.
Olivia: You really don’t want to do this.
Rebecca: You don’t know what the hell I’m planning on doing.
Olivia: Whatever it is I know it’s not good. If you let me go I promise I’ll never tell anyone about this. We can just let it go.
Rebecca: Like I’m going to trust anything you say. I’m no fool lady. The second you got out of this room you’d go straight to the cops.
Olivia: I wouldn’t.
Rebecca: Shut it! We wouldn’t be here right now if it weren’t for you running your mouth anyway. If you had just stayed the hell away we’d be fine! William and I had a great family.
Olivia: A family that was built on a lie!
Rebecca in her fury smacks Olivia across the right of her face with the gun. A loud cry is heard as the metal hits Olivia’s cheekbone. She draws her hand up to her face in pain. She quickly realizes that she shouldn’t get Rebecca angry. At this point there’s no telling what she might do.
Rebecca: If I were you I’d keep my shut if you know what’s good for you. Got it?

3. CHANNING MANSION
William is seated in his office when there’s a knock at the door.
William: Come in.
The door opens and there appears James. William and James haven’t seen each since the previous debacle. James closes the door behind and walks up to the desk.
James: I know I’m probably one of the last people you want to see right now.
William: Well you’re right about one thing.
James: I just wanted to talk. I know you’re angry right now-
William: Angry isn’t the word I’d use. I’m more feeling betrayed. Not a feeling that you’d want to feel toward your brother.
James: I know. But I need to make you understand.
William: Understand what James? That you betrayed me? That you lied to me?
James: Why I did what I did. It was a different time. I was a different person. I only did what I thought you’d want. I was only thinking about your future and what you wanted. You needed that money and you wanted to be with Olivia. If there was a way that I could help then I was going to do it even if it wasn’t the moral thing to do. You know how we were raised. Father raised used to be ruthless men who stopped at nothing to get what we wanted. It’s not something I’m proud of but I took that more to heart than you. I was despicable and evil. It was right about that time that I decided to change. I disgusted even myself. I didn’t like who I was becoming.
William: Why did you never tell me?
James: Everything was going so well for you business-wise and for your family. Who was I to take all that away from you and destroy it? That’s why I left in the first place.
William: You let me raise a son that’s not my own.
James: Not by blood maybe but Kyle is every bit your son. You raised him. Kyle looked up to in every way like a father. That you can’t take away. I may have lied to you but I know in your heart even you wouldn’t give up having Kyle.
James looks down at the table and sees various papers in front of his brother. He takes a further look and sees that they’re divorce papers.
James: Divorce papers? Are you divorcing Rebecca?
William: What do you think?
James: Don’t you think you should take some more time to think this over?
William: I did take the time and then I called my lawyer and had him draw them up. You may be my brother and therefore I have to forgive you. I do not have to give Rebecca the time of day. Besides I’m sure she probably had more of a hand in convincing you to go along with this scheme anyway.
James: William we have all done things wrong. You as well. Olivia?
William: This isn’t up for discussion James. You of all people shouldn’t be coaching me on advice on my marriage.
James looks at William slightly confused as to where William is going with his last statement.
James: What does that mean?
William: I don’t want relationship advice from someone who’s sleeping with another man’s wife.
James mind starts racing. He knows? How? He tries to keep his cool and act as if what was just said doesn’t faze him but William doesn’t buy it and James knows that.
William: Don’t try to deny it because I’ve know the truth for quite some time. It’s not a secret. You’re having an affair with Victoria Evans.
James: Oh my God. It’s you then.
William: Excuse me?
James: You’re the one. You’re the one who told Ivy Malone.
Meanwhile on the other half of the Channing Mansion, Mason has returned home to a rather quiet house. He makes his way up the stairs heading to his bedroom. Before getting to his room he passes Kyle’s room. He stops shortly after passing and takes a step back to the room. Empty. Mason steps inside the empty room.
Mason: What the hell?
William is seated in his office when there’s a knock at the door.
William: Come in.
The door opens and there appears James. William and James haven’t seen each since the previous debacle. James closes the door behind and walks up to the desk.

4. THE CONTINENTAL APARTMENT BUILDING, 885 6TH AVE., KENDALL and AMY-BETH’S APARTMENT
Kendall is seated on the couch talking with her mother, Ivy, on the phone.
Kendall: How’s dad holding up with all of this election business?
Ivy: He’s holding up well. He’s keeping to his morals.
Kendall: No problems with Daniel Evans?
Ivy: Well there’s always a problem with Daniel Evans but your father is dealing with it.
Kendall: What does that mean?
Ivy: Nothing for you to worry about. How are you? Are you doing alright?
Kendall: I’m fine. Just been refocusing and getting everything back to normal.
Ivy: Have you spoken to Mason since the last time you spoke?
Kendall: No. I don’t want to push him and make him uncomfortable. I don’t want to do more damage than I already have.
Ivy: I’m sure Mason will come around. He loves you Kendall.
Kendall: I don’t know mom. This time I might have-
Before Kendall finishes her thought she hears a knock at the front door.
Kendall: Oh, mom there’s someone at the door. Can I call you back later?
Ivy: Sure. I’ll be home.
Kendall: Alright, love you.
Ivy: Love you too.
Kendall quickly hangs up her phone and heads for the door. She opens the door and it’s the last person she’d ever expect.
Kendall: What are you doing here?
5. WALDORF HOTEL
Olivia: Rebecca, think about what you’re doing? This isn’t what you want.
Rebecca: You have no idea what I want. I want you to pay for what you’ve done. I want you to feel the way I feel.
Olivia: I’ve been there remember. I lost out first.
Rebecca: Good because you’re going to feel it again.
Olivia: Kyle and Mason wouldn’t want you acting this way. Think about them.
Rebecca: Don’t you dare talk about my sons! It’s because of you that the lives they’ve known their whole life has all gone to hell!
Olivia: I felt that William and Kyle deserved to know the truth.
Rebecca: Bull! Don’t even try and act like you did this for them! You did this all for yourself! And now I’m going to do something for me.
Rebecca raises her hand with the gun straight at Olivia’s face.
6. CHANNING MANSION
William: What on earth are you talking about?
James: You’re the one who told Ivy Malone about my affair. She found me and Victoria to blackmail us. Ivy wouldn’t reveal who she found out from but now it all makes sense.
William: Really?
James: You’re trying to get back at me so you decided to out me and Victoria.
William: Well isn’t that nice.
James: What?
William: James I have never done anything to ever do harm to you our entire lives. No matter what we go through and what I feel towards you I’d never do anything malicious because you’re my brother. For me I’d hope that when all hell breaks loose that you’d be the one person I could count on. Clearly I see that that is not true but I can still say that.
James: What are you saying?
William: I’m saying I’m not the one who told Ivy. Apparently you haven’t been as secretive as you think because there’s clearly now a third person who knows about your affair.
James: You haven’t talk to anyone?
William: Not a soul and I intend on keeping it that way. I don’t need to resort to the same means that you did to get even with you. If I were you I’d start figuring out what’s going on because it sounds like you’ve got a problem on your hands and I’d handle that sooner than later.

7. THE CONTINENTAL APARTMENT BUILDING, 885 6TH AVE., KENDALL and AMY-BETH’S APARTMENT
Kendall: What are you doing here?
Kyle: Hi. Can we talk?
Kendall: I really don’t think there’s anything for us to talk about Kyle. You should go.
Kyle starts to see Kendall closing the door when he shoves his foot in the door.
Kyle: Please. I really need to talk to you. It’s important.
Kendall contemplates for a second about letting Kyle in. She believes that there’s nothing left to be said between them. Worrying that it could have something do with Mason, she lets him in.
Kendall: What is it that you want?
Kyle: I know that you’re very angry at me and you have every reason to be. What I did to you and Mason was malicious and cruel.
Immediately Kendall is taken back by what Kyle is saying. These are words she’s never heard Kyle say nor did she believe they were words he had ever used in his life to describe himself. The first thought that comes to her mind is that he’s up to something again.
Kendall: What kind of game are you playing now Kyle?
Kyle: I’m not playing any games here. I’m being completely honest. You don’t deserve the way I’ve treated you all this time. The truth is it never really had anything to do with you and I realize that now.
Kendall: Oh really? Why all of a sudden are you having this change of heart?
Kyle: Let’s just say a lot has happened these past couple of days that has opened my eyes to a lot. It’s made me see a little clearer. I don’t want to be the person that I’ve been. I don’t like it. I’ve been so busy playing a role that I thought I was meant to play and now I know I’m not.
Kendall: You’re not making any sense here. Does Mason know you’re here?
Kyle: No. I came here on my own. I wanted to apologize to you first. You and Mason belong together and it’s only because of me that you’re not. That’s my fault and I want to fix it.
Kyle feels his phone vibrating in his pocket. He reaches in his pocket and grabs the phone out. Looking down at the phone he sees that it’s Mason calling him.
Kyle: Looks like I’ll be able to fix that right now as we speak.
8. DANIEL EVANS OFFICE HEADQUARTERS
Planted outside of the building across the street in a black tinted window sedan is Gregory, Walter, and Paloma. They’ve been inside the car waiting for the arrival of Daniel at the office.
Walter: How are you doing Paloma?
Paloma: Alright, I suppose. Just want to get this over and done with.
Walter: It will be.
Paloma: Are you sure this is going to work?
Walter: Stick to the plan and it will.
Gregory: We’ll be able to hear everything that’s going inside from your mic and we have two others on stand-by ready as well. You’ll be fine.
Paloma: Daniel is a smart man. You don’t think he’ll catch on? He seems like the kind of person that’s very careful with his words.
Walter: If there’s one thing I know about Daniel is that he’s not very careful. He lets his guard down all the time and it gets him trouble. Isn’t that why we’re here in the first place? He made a mistake with you didn’t he? Then he covered it and put all the blame on you. This is one time he won’t be able to do anything about it. We’ll have the proof.
Gregory: Everything that goes on in that room we’ll have recorded.
Walter: He’ll never suspect anything of you and because of that he’ll speak freely. You’re no threat to him.
Paloma: You’re right.
Walter: All you have to do is get in there, get what we need and get out.
Gregory: Showtime folks.
Paloma and Walter look away from each other to see what Gregory is talking about. As they both look across the street they see Daniel walking down the street and heading into the office building. Victoria has kept to her word and gotten Daniel there right on time.
